Our Team and Business Structure: Empowering Women in Skincare
At Saarinen Organics, we take pride in being a female-run business within the skincare industry. Our team consists of dedicated individuals who contribute their unique skills and expertise to different aspects of our operation. We have two main sections that form the backbone of our business: Manufacturing/Admin/Advertising and Farming/Maintenance/Building.
Manufacturing/Admin/Advertising - My Domain: As the founder and main lab technician, I, Kay Saarinen, oversee the manufacturing, administrative, and advertising aspects of the business. I am deeply involved in ensuring the quality and efficacy of our skincare products.
Supporting me in the lab is Annette Grant, a multi-talented individual who also manages her own cattle farm. Annette is my right-hand gal, responsible for managing staff on manufacturing days, sales, deliveries, stocktaking, filling, labeling, and brainstorming new ideas. Her dedication and expertise are invaluable to our team.
Rebecca Brenon serves as our second lab assistant. In addition to being a successful artist, Rebecca excels in keeping our lab clean, managing our packaging reuse system, labeling, and providing general assistance in the lab.
Handling our administrative and web design needs is Rebecca Janes, who also runs her own business specializing in Eco farm stays. Her skills in web design and administration keep our online presence running smoothly.
Honey our amazing photographer
Maddy, a talented and busy mother, takes charge of our social media accounts for both our Saarinen and Beyoo brands. Her creativity and dedication ensure that our message reaches our valued customers effectively.
Supporting Young Rural Talent with ATC: We are proud participants in the ATC program, an agricultural initiative that provides valuable work experience for young rural school-age girls. One day a week, these talented individuals join our team, either in the lab or on the farm, where they gain hands-on skills and knowledge.
On the Farm - Gregg's Domain: Heading our farm team is Gregg, who oversees the farming, maintenance, and building aspects of our business. His expertise and passion for sustainable agriculture are instrumental in our commitment to regenerative farming practices.
Steve, from Mt Darragh Lavender, joins us as a valuable member of our farm team. With his extensive horticulture knowledge, Steve brings invaluable insights and experience to our lavender cultivation.
In addition, we open our doors to WWOOFers (Willing Workers on Organic Farms), who contribute five hours of work per day in exchange for food and board. We welcome a diverse range of individuals, from singles to couples, who help out Gregg on the farm and contribute to the vitality of our operations.
And, of course, we cannot forget our ATC participant, who is a crucial part of our farm team, learning and growing alongside us.
Last but not least our Daughter Gemma
At Saarinen Organics, our team is a testament to the power of collaboration and diverse expertise. As a female-run business, we empower women in the skincare industry and provide opportunities for growth and learning. Together, we work tirelessly to create high-quality organic skincare products while promoting sustainable practices. Through our partnerships with the ATC program and our commitment to regenerative farming, we foster a nurturing environment for young talent and sustainable agriculture. With each member's unique contributions, we continue to make a positive impact on our customers, our community, and the environment we cherish.
